Our city

Stuttgart is the hometown of the band ‘die Fantastischen Vier’ (The Fantastic Four) who made German hip hop music or ‘Deutscher Sprechgesang’ popular in Germany. Even today, the ‘Fanta4’ are among the most successful hip hop acts in Germany. They have been performing for over 25 years and still manage to sell out all of their shows. Especially Smudo and Michi are well known the tv-show ‘The Voice of Germany’.

    ‘Wilhelma’ is the most popular recreational facility of Stuttgart. This zoo features about 7,000 plant species and 1,100 animal species, rendering this facility one of the most species-rich in the world. If you explored it completely, it would certainly take you more than a full day. Due to its size, the Wilhelma offers theme-based tours for diverse areas of interest. The zoo and its adjacent park are considered the ‘green heart’ of Stuttgart.

    Stuttgart‘s equivalent to the Oktoberfest is the ‘Wasen’ festival. It is held annually for a two-week period. The Cannstatter Wasen starts when the Oktoberfest comes to its end. With about 4 million visitors every year it is considered the second largest beer festival in the world. Since the Cannstatter Volksfest is not as popular among tourists, its visitors can enjoy traditional specialties and get to know the local mentality a lot better.

However, on weekends, night owls are attracted to Flora & Fauna thanks to its DJs and live music.
